@Diana Coman: Sounds like a good idea as I've already been noticing some peculiar things from the manual lookovers. What initially motivated it though was to keep an eye on the actual state of those many dubiously managed global maps & sets & queues.

Fwiw <a href="http://jfxpt.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/bitcoin_peer_debug_etc.vpatch" rel="nofollow">the patch</a> looks quite clear and neat to me. Do you intend to run a regular getpeerinfo set of requests on a public node and analyse that to see how peers even compare/look like in general at least as glimpsed from such info?

@Luz: mind linking to the item in question? It took me a moment to figure out that you were bridging someone else's comment in there.

P.S. <blockquote> is a good html tag to know.

Very interesting initiative that strengthens the technical and security aspects of the Bitcoin ecosystem.
In Panama, many entrepreneurs and companies are starting to explore the use of crypto assets, yet there are still questions about how to align innovation with proper legal and tax compliance.
Currently, two important crypto-related bills are being discussed in the National Assembly:
Bill 326, which establishes a comprehensive legal framework for the supervision, registration, and control of Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) in accordance with international AML/CFT standards.
And Bill 247, which promotes the digital economy and regulates the use of cryptocurrencies, already approved in its first debate.
These developments show that Panama’s regulatory landscape is evolving, and there is a growing need to integrate technological, accounting, and legal perspectives to ensure secure and sustainable progress in the crypto ecosystem. todays comment about the article of today
